JONAE VILLENEUVE
is an actor, singer, dancer and Equity Membership Candidate based out of Minneapolis, Minnesota.  JoNae holds a BFA in Acting from Minnesota State University, Mankato and has also worked and studied in Los Angeles, California and Paris, France. JoNae is also a trained pianist and accomplished athlete, fashion and dog lover.

JoNae was recently signed with Wehmann Models & Talent Inc!!

UPCOMING:  JoNae will be playing, Bridget/Marcy/Beth/Madison (The Movie Victims) in Urban Samurai's production regional premiere production, Slasher, written by local playwright, Allison Moore.  It is directed by Brian Balcom.  Performances are February 3-18, 2012 at Sabes Jewish Community Center Theatre.

Past Highlights: JoNae recently closed 2011 with nimbus theatre's production of Woyzeck, by Georg Buchner in the role of Kathy/Ensebmle.  JoNae performed in Chicago Avenue Project at the Pillsbury House Theatre and had an amazing experience working with local Equity performers/directors and some amazing kids. Tales from the Twisted Cities written by Reginald Edmund and directed by Ivey Award actor/director, James A. Williams was nomiated for Most Outstanding Play in the 2011 Fringe Festivial!! Out of 167 shows in the Minnesota Fringe this year, Tales was in the top 5! JoNae received great reviews on her performance, and the production as a whole.  Here are what a few Fringe goers and media had to say: 

"...In the second piece, I enjoyed the Moses [(Western)] character and the rapport with him and Eve [(Villeneuve)].  But it is the relationship between Eve and Nzuri [(Berg)] that makes this piece work, and their genuine affection for each other was evident and riveting."

"This show was one of the rare moments at the fringe where I've actually seen [have] some passion and heart to it combined by some fantastic acting.  I was moved." 

"Well written and well paced.  A hell of a lot better than the last show I saw at the Guthrie."

Astrolibrary, combining orginal music, dance, and text was a huge success as well.  The collaboration with JoNae included choreographer, Karen Gullikson and musician/composer, Tom Woodling.  Here are some of the riviting reviews.

JoNae finished up Sandbox Theatre's LAB series as a scholarship receipient.  As a part of that scholarship program, JoNae was a part of a Master Class with the SITI Company from NYC. 

Mystical Revelations of the Sacred Heart to St. Margaret Mary Alacoque directed by Ryan Sturgis and produced by Our Lady's Tears Productions is completed and can be viewed here.  Germaine: Requiem of a Soul, produced and directed as the same above was broadcasted on RealCatholic TV, and the short can be viewed here.
